Master of Science in Analytics

LSU’s Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) is an exciting new degree that prepares students for interesting and rewarding jobs in analytics and business intelligence.

The MSA is designed to meet the growing demand for highly skilled professionals in the areas of data mining, forecasting, customer segmentation, and predictive analytics.

The MSA degree is an intensive 12-month professional program. It focuses on using advanced data management tools, applied statistics and operations research techniques to analyze large real-world data sets to increase return on investment, improve customer retention, reduce fraud and improve decision making.

Student teams work with leading companies and government organizations to solve real business problems in areas such as marketing, insurance, banking, health care, communications, e-commerce, and law enforcement. Students learn to stay focused on the bottom line, and they learn the presentation skills needed to effectively communicate recommendations and solutions to upper management.
